1959 paperback in good condition. Essays written by Lawrence including his defence of Lady Chatterley’s Lover. Also includes the full text of Judge J. F. Bryan’s decision declaring the book not obscene. The trial officially ended in 1960 with the acquittal of Penguin Books. The publisher had been sued on an obscenity charge after publishing the novel in the United States.
