Ariduk Duck Decoy

Produced in the 1950s, this Mallard duck decoy is made from pressed fiber (similar to paper mache) and was manufactured by The General Fibre Co. in St. Louis, MO.

A bit of history: General Fibre began manufacturing decoy ducks under the Ariduk brand in 1946. The ducks were of fiber material with realistic glass eyes, a seamless base, and anchor hooks installed on the bottom. The fiber materials were water proof and constructed to withstand poor weather conditions.

*This guy has some chipping on his tale feathers as seen in the photo.  He’s also missing one eye and is therefore priced to sell!  These ducks have recently become collectables and would look great on a bookcase or in a cabin.
