Colonial Boy Chalkware Bust

Midcentury Alexander Backer bust with artist’s signature “Le Brun.” One small chip on the side of his hair and three smaller chips on the ponytail.  There’s a small bit of crazing on the glaze and a some discoloration on the hair and cravat.  *Cleaning harshly can damage the glaze.  These small imperfections only add to the charm of this bust that’s in very good vintage condition!

The bust is white chalkware with a light tan glaze.  The pedestal base is circled with a ring of gold paint.
