Quimper Serving Set

This Henriot Quimper French pottery set includes an olive dish and a small, oval serving dish.  This is not an antique set, but a more recent, authentic reproduction, probably from 1994.  Featuring peasants from Breton country life during the 1800’s and hand painted in a simple folk style.

A bit of History: Quimper Pottery, named after the town in northwestern France, dates back to the late 17th century.  After being forced to close in 1983, the factory reopened in 1984 and is enjoying a resurgence in popularity.
